Follow The Money

th-11One thing I have learned though all of my life’s experiences, especially from living in America and its’ so-called democracy is that the truth is a nonexistent fallacy! Nothing exemplifies this more than watching the news; be it national, local, or otherwise. The news media is a propaganda vehicle designed to get those commercial dollars – not about giving you the truth. As the new president and his cronies often says “who cares”!

This seemingly is the attitude of most white folk in general not only when it come to the lies the media tells. But pick up a history book which is the best evidence of this – as we have all come to know – there is no truth in His-Story! But the sad thing is they believe it and continue to propagate these stories, which anyone can see they are not true.

However, I have long said and believe that if you follow the money and you will always get the answer or find the truth. It does not matter the topic or subject; there is always money at its root, just look to see who benefits and get’s the money! In matters of race or war – it’s about the money. I am amazed that there are still people who foolishly think matters of race is because of skin color. No-no, it is about the color of money and who gets it! Black folk spend a trillion dollars a year; who gets it?

When it comes to matters of war; does anyone believe that America cares about the people in the Middle East or anywhere the American troops go to fight and kill people in the name of democracy? It is about brainwashing you to make you believe that is the case. But, again no-no, it is about the armaments and products corporation sell to the government, so they get richer. Ask yourself; how much of the seven trillion dollars did you get out of this current war? But it was your tax dollars funding this fifteen-year debacle! More often than not all you got was heartache and sorrow because of the loss or maiming of a loved one.

And now with the new administration coming in I predict that another war is coming or a major escalation of troops in this one. So don’t wait for you head to spend for a quick end to this war. Rich folk will tell the American people that war is good for the economy and it is about patriotism! Again no-no it is good for them. It is about the money and how much of it they can get for themselves – period!

In closing, the new president and the cast of billionaires he has appointed; do you really think they care about you, your life or interest? I will only say, remember Bush and his cronies! This guy will make him look like a boy scout! And that is my thought provoking perspective…

The World Is Watching

3

The conservative folk and tea-party types, and those who call themselves the “Real Americans” have been talking about anarchy quoting Jefferson for a long time, as they prepared for war on its people. They often quote this particular founding father and slave-holding racist, who fathered many children by slaves he owned:

“When the government fears the people it’s liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

As we have witnessed the horrifying news of current events; namely police killings, no justice, and abuse of government powers that prophecy may be being for-filled. To put this in perspective, the definition of these words according to Webster’s Dictionary:

Terror – Any period of frightful violence or bloodshed, violence or threats of violence used for intimidation or coercion.

Liberty – Freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, and hampering conditions, etc., right of doing, thinking, and speaking according to choice.

Anarchy – Political and social disorder due to the absence of governmental control: lawlessness, disruption, and turmoil.

Considering the conditions the government has created, each of these words is relevant. The moral high-ground has been shown to be a facade for all the world to see, as black people have known for centuries. Frankly, the only people pretending that this is not true are the so-called “Real American’s”.

These folks will never admit that the land they love was erected upon the plunder of land, slaughter of life and this imaginary thing [to black people] called liberty. White America has played this game forever but now people have had enough and a vehicle where the truth can no longer be suppressed.

Our grandfathers listened to Dr. King when he told them to pray, and you will get to the Promise Land – they believe him. What he did not tell them was it was their capture and enslavement that took them from the Promise Land when they were placed on board the Good Ship Jesus!

The youth of today don’t believe the hype and understand that “black lives matter! This is not your grandfathers Civil Right Movement. They would rather die on their feet than to continue living on their knees, as they recall Nate Turners words before he was hung – “they crucified Jesus didn’t they”.

The making of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. into a cultural icon or electing a black president cannot fool people or change its racist past. It’s been four centuries of this heinous ungodly treatment – it is time for change – reign in the cop’s, put an end to their occupation and terror – it must stop. Race is the problem in your heart at its core – not from the souls of black America who has continued to suffer!

The entire world is watching as police brutally killed its black citizens for the most trivial offenses. Leaving the fatalities to die in the streets as spectacles in the most appalling disrespectful inhumane form of injustice, not to mention the military style response to peaceful protests.

This movement will not settle for anything less than what they claim to bring others around the world. No more murders, no more voter restriction, a fair justice system, freedom, equality, and most of all to live without terror from the law. Maybe the question asked is, who are the terrorists? And that’s my thought provoking perspective…

The Story Continues

31020_135095479974186_881444461_n

I often speak of visiting those places I call Brownsville, you know, those segregated places mandated by law as a result of the wretched system of “Separate but Equal”. I try to resurrect the ghost of the greats that changed the world, which have caused me to live a life promised to all Americans. Having said that, I readily admit there is still a long way to go.

I have shared the African American journey that no doubt is the greatest story ever told. Maybe let me say this more succinctly by quoting Jesse in terms of witnessing our story coming “From the outhouse to the White House”. The irony of this was that Africans were dragged onto the shores of this place the slaves called “merica” to now having a man of African descent in the White House as President. Frankly, this is the most significant event since Christ rose from the grave.

This evolution brought about our acquiescence to political agendas, abdicating our own economic self-sufficiency for the greater good and most working diligently for the economic well-being of African American people. Since the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments were written many have died for the rights described therein, and we continue to fight for equality still.

Let me leave you with this thought from “The Mis-Education of the Negro,” the most profound novel ever written in my opinion, originally published in 1933 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, who is known as the father of Black History Month. I might add that this book should be mandatory reading for all African Americans – young and old.

The thesis of Dr. Woodson’s book is that Negroes of his day were being culturally indoctrinated rather than taught in American schools, or not even given the advantage of education. This conditioning, he claims, causes African Americans to become dependent, seeking out inferior places in the greater society of which they are a part. This assertion is clearly evident nearly eighty years later.

He challenged his readers to become empowered by doing for themselves, regardless of what they were taught: “History shows that it does not matter who is in power… those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they did in the beginning.”

This goes beyond the imagination, irrespective of the many promises that have been made and broken, that fairness exists. Religion teaches us when we die there is a place where there is a mansion with streets paved with gold. Be that as it may, let’s agree with the great Curtis Mayfield who wrote: “we are people who are darker than blue”. He also said, “People get ready there’s a train a comin. You don’t need no ticket. All you need is faith to get on board…”

Some of you may know George Orwell’s statement about history:

Whoever controls the past controls the future, and whoever controls the present controls the past. And whoever’s in charge of a culture decides what history we get, or tries to decide what history we get, and our job is to look beyond that and to try to find our own history, the one that they don’t want us to have. You know what I mean by “they.” I won’t—I won’t give you any names, but there is—there’s always a “they.

“Black History is American History”. We have witnessed the first man of African descent elected president of these United States, and I am thankful to have lived to see what no one living or dead ever thought would occur. God Bless America but the train has not reached its destination, and the greatest story ever told will continue! And that is my Thought Provoking Perspective…

The Shooting Of Another Black Man: Presumed Justified

10514657_10202131902970802_7641807366571926388_nA St. Louis PD officer is the latest to shot an unarmed black teenager with what appears to be with no remorse. He is on administrative leave with pay and as it has been reported [CNN] that no city official, mayor or otherwise has visited the mother of this child. One officer was caught on video calling the angry protesters last night – “F-ing ANAMIALS”! As far back as I can remember these same types of atrocities have been inflicted upon black people and their community.

At some point, you would think the government would see there is a problem with the men in blue. The relationship between the police and the black community has always been hostile, no trust, and viewed as an occupying force. This just speaks to justice that in unfairly imposed by this hostile force. And this morning another mother, family, and community grieve.

During segregation, there was the “Ministers of Defense” created to protect black people from the Klan and racists. The unchallenged brutality from the Oakland police was the reason why the Black Panthers were formed to protect the community from the police. The result of these unchecked murders, beatings, and shootings result in riots. I hope you can remember the call of the sixties “Burn Baby Burn”!

Let me say, I am personally opposed to violence and rioting. I would prefer organizing but that is like “praying”; it feels good, but nothing results from it and black people have been praying since we were dragged on to the shores of this place the slaves called “merica.” Need I remind you that “those prayers have yet to be answered.” For four hundred years, people of African descent have been brutalized in unimaginable ways at the hands of those put in place to suppress the race. Make no mistake that is the job of the police, not much different than the slave catcher.

We have seen over and over the lack of value held by agencies from the FBI to the “community watch” folks. Just imagine what it was like before there was video. The brutality was standard operating procedure. Then came Rodney King and the world got a chance to see that it was, in fact real, and the complaints from the black community were too. What did they say to us; “you did not see what you thought you saw.” In every instance, the police use the same excuse; I was afraid for my life and the murder is found to be justified!

Some say; we should march. Marching is a strategy – not a solution! I say we have been marching since Dr. King lead us, and the problem has gotten worse. It seems that each week there is another murder of an unarmed person at the hands of the law. The life of a black person has so little value that the police simply “shot first” and their gang leaders will find away to find it “justified”. This is a crisis!

What troubles me is that as soon as something like this happens. The police grab some chicken pickin so-called lead to tamper down the unrest. This is a huge problem when they run to a house Negro to say “be peaceful and that the police are your friend”. No one in the black community believes that for one minute. They are there as an occupying force, unstable and dangerous. As evidence of the weekly deaths under cover of law that must be addressed; as we said in the late sixties – unrest will ensue!

It is not the role of the police to prosecute nor execute! And that’s my thought provoking perspective…

A Comprehensive View Of Our History

Stubborn as a Mule

This is a MUST SEE internationally award winning film that depicts and explores facts of history that are not whole known or taught in any educational system. It is an eye-open look at the concept that makes the case for why reparations should be open for discussion and the necessity for it to be addressed.

AWESOME DOCUMENTARY!

Gang Of Thugs

1We’ve been conditioned and lead to believe, or dare I say, accept that law enforcement is supposed to be for the benefit of the people, who pay their salaries “to protect and serve.”  However, this is not the case, particularly when it comes to black people. Some might argue, and I am one of them that believe this was never the intent in the first place – meaning protect black people. Rather, when it comes to the justice system what we find is “Just Us”!

Nonetheless, the police today are heavily militarized agencies that would make one think we are in a combat zone. People of African descent have always lived in a police state, and frankly the police has become little more than “slave catchers” to fill prisons with cheap labor, not unlike the chain gangs of old that was designed for slave labor.

I am sure you watch the news and read the reports of renegade cops, who brutalize black people for little more than “because they can get away with it.” Nearly every day in America a black man or woman is manhandled, beaten, or killed by the police – the people we pay who are suppose to protect us, with no conscience or consequence for their action. Except the word JUSTIFIED!

Here are a few examples, in today’s Chicago’s newspaper there was a story of four (4) officers and I use that loosely, who were responsible for four hundred (400) misconduct complaints and still on the job. In the City of Angels (LA), a highway patrol officer, again used loosely, beat a grandmother nearly to death – still working. There was a recent case in New York, Eric Garner, where the police choked a black man to death for nothing, meaning he committed no crime. No charges for any of the assaults or murders. This is not to mention the countless murders covered up by the gang in blue.

The black man, Eric Garner, who was choked to death immediately, joined a larger parade of fatal clashes between black men and police that seem to stretch back all the way through living memory. His name joins a string of others that together form a kind of shorthand for excessive force: Amadou Diallo. Patrick Dorismond. Timothy Stansbury. Sean Bell. Ramarley Graham

We must also include the people those cops who take money to protect drug dealer and shake them down. They steal the evidence [drugs] and give them to their street snitches. Let me be clear, these kinds of acts at the hands of the “law” were occurring way before Rodney King’s assault was captured on video tape by the brutes in blue, who are paid to terrorize the black community. In fact, before slavery, during slavery, and until today this is what they were hired to do in the same manner as the Klan operated.

It is reported and we know the FBI used covert activities, such as COINTELPRO, and the government assassinates its citizens under cover of law. In addition, a report was just released to the public that thousands of FBI cases were reviewed with faulty crime lab results. Another report was released some time ago that said, the FBI have never had an unlawful shooting in its history.

This has happened and continues to happen far too frequently and it’s time for accountability. I am not going to get into the fact that judges send black people to jail far more than others and for longer periods of time. Justice has run amuck! And that’s my thought provoking perspective…
